Created by Mark Lee from Cult Indie band The Pocket Gods 100 X 30 is an album of 100 tracks around 30 seconds long - all protesting about the state of the music industry. The title is inspired by the fact that Spotify pay the same for a 30 second steam than they do for a full song - a paltry $0.007 so why waste time writing songs longer than 30 secs? With the huge increase in streaming as opposed to downloads or physical sales, the record industry will wilt and die unless streamers begin to pay a fair rate for the artistic content they are making billions from.
