If you find that your mouse cursor jumps or moves on its own, automatically and randomly, while typing on a Windows laptop or computer, some of these suggestions may help you fix the problem. This can often happen if your touchpad is sensitive and you accidentally touch it while typing.
The mouse cursor jumps automatically
The jumping cursor is another problem some users face, in addition to the mouse pointer disappearing and being replaced by arrow keys. Here are some suggestions. Review the list and try them in any order. If something doesn't help, reverse the settings.

1] Check your mouse drivers
Make sure your mouse, touchpad, and keyboard drivers are up to date. Ensure your mouse battery is functioning properly. Run a scan with your antivirus software to rule out the possibility of malware causing this issue.
2] Change the touchpad sensitivity
In Windows 10, open Settings, Devices, Touchpad, change the touchpad sensitivity to Low sensitivity, and see if it helps.
In Windows 8.1, open PC Settings, PC and devices, Mouse & touchpad. Under Touchpad settings, you'll see an option to help prevent the cursor from moving accidentally when you change the delay before clicks register.

4] Troubleshoot in a clean boot state
Start your computer in a clean boot state and see if the problem persists. If so, perhaps a program is interfering with the normal operation of the mouse. You will have to try to identify the likely cause.
