If you want to go through yourself, then follow the slightly confusing instructions below - installation on Windows:
1. Download otvdm (winevdm) and after extracting it to drive C, run the "install (no console)" shortcut from this folder.
If you have a 32-bit system, (I recommend Windows XP in a virtual machine) skip this step.
2. Mount a virtual drive from the ISO file of the game. For example, through Alcohol 120%.
3. Open the drive in Explorer, and install X:\QT\QT16INST.EXE.
Press the buttons like this: Install-Skip-Yes-Install. We are waiting, after Exit-Yes.
Where "X" is the drive letter of the game's "disk".
4. Then install X:\MUMIN31\INSTALL.EXE.

5. After installation, the window with the game shortcut will be empty, don't be afraid, just create a shortcut on the desktop with the game path (for example, F:\Program Files (x86)\MOOMINS\Mumin31.exe) and put the icon from the hus.ico file.
16-BIT VERSION IS THE MOST STABLE, 32-BIT VERSION DOES NOT WORK PROPERLY!!!

upd 23/06/23: For the normal operation of the game, use Windows XP (32-bit) and older, as much as possible on a real computer! (it also works fine on a virtual machine, but in mini-games in the kitchen and a balloon slightly low fps. On Windows 10 x64 + OTVDM, the cutscenes between rooms do not work well, and it is impossible to play games in the kitchen and the balloon normally.
upd 14/03/24: this game can probably be played in ScummVM.
upd 15/03/24: Two pieces of news emerged:
1) this game still does not work in scummvm.
2) 32 bit version of the game works fine in Windows 98 SE!!!! In Windows XP x32, Windows 7 x64 and Windows 10 x64 a "script error" appears before starting and at the level with the kitchen. If you have a powerful PC, use PCem + WIN98SE.
upd 18/03/24: There is a bug in the 32bit version game on Win98se: [Hard level] if you wake up Moominmama first and save the game, then there will be a "script error: handled not defined #F" - If you click Continue, the game seems to still be running, but unfortunately you can’t save. Only the progress that was made before the error will be saved. I had a script error when I pressed everything in a row for fun, and then woke her up. We need to wake her up after the others (Moomintroll and Snorkmaiden), and skip the dialogue as quickly as possible by tapping on the screen. (After a few minutes it turned out that the error still appears).
In the 16bit version there is a bug in the form of the game crashing after sending out invitations. To do this you need to save and restart the game.
I also noticed that the game has a screensaver.
