This is a 90-second self-introduction movie. Using old video clips, 8mm film, and photos, I put together an overview of some key aspects of my journey so far. Since I first was exposed to 8mm film home movies as a small child in the 1960s, I gave the video a nostalgic film feel though overlays, light leaks and audio. This is a sample of a “This is Me” or an “About Me” self-intro video that I ask students to make every semester. The software does not matter, though I used Davinci Resolve 18.5 with overlays from Motionarray and my own home movies. CapCut for desktop (Mac and PC) is what most of my students use with good results.
