Protecting crops and building yield with MIRAVIS®
Neil Havis from SRUC gives an overview of the 2024 MIRAVIS® trials on winter cereal crops across their Drumalbin and East Lothian sites.
Looking at control of rhynchosporium, ramularia and brown rust in their winter barley.
The Miravis plots showed fewer disease lesions and improved Green Leaf area against the competitors in the market.
At the East Lothian site just outside Edinburgh their trials looked at controlling major diseases in wheat. They had high septoria pressure and increased risk of yellow rust too.
The Miravis plots looked far cleaner and had a far greater green leaf area which will lead to significant yield increases compared to the untreated.
Neil's take home message: If you've got high disease pressure and you need to control disease in your crops then use a really effective product, and Miravis is the most effective that we have
