Starting the new year getting back on the guitar..
I originally wanted to learn the keyboard parts alone, then as i built the track i decided to add/try the guitar. ( not playing much these days) I also thought i would share the amp simulators i used to record the guitar tracks.
Here i'm using the softube 1962/softube silver jubilee 2555/ Plugin Alliance GAV19 and the out board comparison - JMP1 voodoo amps modded.
I've used the same 1969 carlsboro 4x12 cab since i was 15 with various amps. (not on this recording)
The JMP1 has been with me for 15 years and as much as i tried, i never found a simulator that had any feel to play back to or that sung back to me when i was playing, which is all i'm looking for with tone. These sims were all demoed for the recording. I'm surprised at how good these things are getting!
The guitar used is a Charvel model 6. The guitar in the picture is a jackson soloist painted by Russell Mills ( downward spiral/ hesitation marks album art and many others)... which really needs putting back together!
