Assam to implement National Education Policy in 2022-23
The Assam government will implement 75 per cent of the National Education Policy (NEP) in 2022 and will achieve 100 per cent by 2023.
According to NEP, two directorates will look after the school education in the state. On the other hand, the Anganwadi Centres will be integrated with the LP Schools. Four departments will decide the integration process.The notification of the Education Department says, "In pursuance to the Cabinet decision taken on November 24, 2021, in the meeting held in Bongaigaon, the matter relating to restructuring of the school education system from 10+2 to 5+3+3+4 pattern for governance and implementation under the NEP-2020 has been approved and the restructuring of the school education system will be done as follows: The school education system will be restructured from the existing 10+2 pattern to 5+3+3+4 pattern as per the "National Education Policy-2020".
