BU College of Medicine 4th Hooding Ceremonies and Recognition Rites
The tradition of investing the hood marks the completion of undergraduate medical education for medical students, who now enter a new phase of their journey, the internship. The hooding ceremony, symbolic of passing the guard from one generation of doctors to the next, recognizes those graduating students with M.D. degrees.
It is a mid-July tradition for Bicol University College of Medicine to celebrate its graduating medical students with a moving ceremony at a grand stadium. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, social distancing directives are still in place.
Despite this unfortunate circumstance, the wonders of technology paved a way for us to celebrate this significant ceremony for the batch who labored with much diligence undeterred by uncertainties brought about by the global pandemic.
