Matter Protocol is nearly here!
Having been in development since December 2019 under the working title 'Project CHiP', the collective behind the move, finally announced that they are ready to bring their work to the market on May 11, 2021.
The Matter protocol aims to provide a new standard for smart home devices so that they can all communicate more effectively with one another. Importantly for Apple HomeKit users, it opens up the possibility that our smart homes will soon be able to support a whole new range of smart home gadgets!
Did I mention it will enable you to move from using Amazon Alexa / Google Home ecosystems to Apple HomeKit more easily too?
