Dual Channel PSU Next Level Updates
In this video we revisit the Chinese Dual Power Supply (PSU). In the last video we added some relays to be able to disconnect the output power; however, this had some undesirable side effects. 1. The Serial/Parallel mode which switched off would not display the voltage it was set to. 2. The added wiring created an unacceptable amount of ripple.
In this video we correct those problems by going to the next level, we add filtering using common mode filters. We create a double sided PCB to house three relays which will be used to disconnect the PSU outputs. This was successful and the PSU now is just about as good as an expensive linear power supply.
