As it is often the case with data centers of medium sized organizations, Waynes data center was hidden out of sight in the basement of the university. To make matters worse there were exposed water pipes on the ceiling and no environmental monitoring in place to notify him when things go wrong. So what do you do when a colleague comes to your desk and asks "There is water in the data center, did you know?"
