Why Google Project Starline is not going to wipe out Zoom (for now)
What's Google Project Starline? Will its future technology replace Zoom meetings soon? Google Project Starline is an experimental system for immersive video chatting. It's a kind of magic window that gives the closest virtual experience you can get to a face to face meeting. Google introduced Project Starline in May 2021. In October 2022 Google announced it would be installing Starline booths for selected companies including Salesforce and T-Mobile. However, Project Starline still has limitations that, for the moment, will keep Zoom meetings as the videoconferencing gold standard.
