Backpacking the Great Smoky Mountains National Park - Twenty Mile Trail Loop
In this episode, I cover day two of my backcountry camping adventure in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. On this backpacking trip, I met up with Andy from Metro on the Move, Brad from As the Crow Flies Hiking, and Taylor from Southern Hike. We hiked in from campsite #92 up to the AT and stopped at the Shuckstack Fire Tower to enjoy the spectacular views. We then hiked 3 miles down the Appalachian Trail to the Gregory Bald Trail and split off in search of the bald. We took a break at Gregory Bald before making our way down the other side to Campsite #13. It was a 10+ mile day and the weather was amazing...
