Employee Gets Busted For Stealing $30,000 From Work

On May 17th, 2024, an officer was dispatched to the probation office to arrest and transport a suspect with a history of embezzling money, forgery and fraud dating back to 2016. The female was hired as a secretary at C.D. General Contractors around May 6, 2021, but she quit less than a month later with no notice or explanation. She reportedly had no direct involvement with the company's finances, however, she did have access to sensitive banking information including account and routing numbers. The female alleged larceny included 18 transactions totaling $2,946, including payments to AT&T, Capitol One, Discover, Venmo, and Amazon. In 2016, the female was accused of embezzling more than twenty nine thousand dollars from a realty company. Then, in 2021 she was hired as manager of Las Cruces' Dove Canyon Mobile Home Park, where she similarly embezzled cash rent payments. The female was transported to the Las Cruces detention centre for further booking processes. The female was charged with larceny and fraud. As of now, she hasn’t paid back any money that she owes.
