Paris Lit Up 9: Call for Submissions
In the pandemic, we stewed in a temporal blur of melting days. Here, in our 9th edition of Paris Lit Up Magazine, we call on all artists of vision and talent to contribute your poetry, prose, and artwork to satisfy the growing need to restructure—and further destabilize—our lives.
Asymmetry is our word. Multi-dimensional and imperfect yet reassuringly structural. Wavering between media, times and dimensions, we search for stability—a rooted verticality that contrasts confinement’s ambivalence. Meanwhile, social media slowly de-filters, and graphic lines emerge, tessellating outwards into a web that seeks to connect the digital and natural worlds.
We’re looking for art that realigns ruler and compass. That transcribes what we knew into a pertinent present and future. Translation inspires semantic losses and gains; likewise, today’s reflection is not a carbon copy from 2019’s mirror. Tilt your head, artist, and show us the world from a different angle.
