Being a maid in a noble household isn't always glamorous—especially when your master is known for his cold stares, gruff tone, and complete lack of emotional warmth. Still, our diligent fox maid puts in the effort, humming cheerfully while standing precariously on a stool to dust those hard-to-reach places. But sometimes, even the most graceful maids lose their balance. And this time, instead of hitting the ground… he falls right into the arms of the very master who rarely shows kindness.
For a fleeting moment, there’s vulnerability—surprise in his eyes, tension in the air. The master catches him, holds him, and then? Awkwardness. A quick retreat. A harsh "DON'T BE WEIRD" like nothing happened. It’s classic him—emotionally constipated, emotionally confusing, and impossible to read. But to the fox maid, that tiny moment meant something. Maybe it’s nothing. Maybe it’s everything. But it lingers.
And where does the master go afterward? Straight to the bar. Because dealing with feelings—especially unfamiliar ones—goes down a lot easier with a drink or seven. Meanwhile, our fox maid is left questioning what just happened, trying to make sense of a man who only seems to soften when he thinks no one’s looking. Love? Respect? Hidden guilt? The mystery continues…
