RUTHLESS - Expert Trip Mental Music 12
On this coming 24th of May, Ruthless will celebrate its 12th edition of Expert Trip Mental Music. Yet we cannot recall the precise date, this is also the first time that Ruthless will celebrate its 8th year anniversary.
Ruthless started as a duo of Jon Romero and Boy Butengteng (Edy Varde) performing live intermix extemporization of sounds and rhythms by means of any on hand musical piece of equipment they possessed. On 2011, it turn out to be an event production accommodating multi media/visual/sound artists and musicians in some bars who’s offering a free gig for the group, until it cultivated as a lose organization among sound artist, and musicians.
The enactments on the 24th will strictly start at 8pm by a collaborative imprévu of the founding duo, Jon Romero and Boy Butengteng accompanied by some of the Goodleaf fellows followed by a modest ambient master, Auspicious Fam. The third performer is a deux of discerned sound art truth-seekers Erick Calilan, and Merv Espina known as Turmeric. Nonplus and Caliph8 will explore the transformative implications of merging sample based synthesis and no input feedback. After that, the initiator of WSK, Tengal will detonate comprehensive mockups of sounds. Second, to the last performer is Inconnu Ictu, who will destroy your flesh with its reverberating and baffling commotions of noises. The two captains of Ruthless, 199X and Ram Millisec8 will obstinate beats, synthesis, and amalgamations of resonances to finish off the fete and lead us back to reality.
RUTHLESS is a lose organization/collective among musicians, and sound-artists. The main intention of the faction is to educate people to understand the creative construction and demonstration of “Sound” as an art form and the principal element for making music.
The artist performance is not just a bridge to transport their music to the audiences to share. It also confronts the listener to observe on how music was produced which is the core aspiration of RUTHLESS.
We are neither expert nor tripping mentally. We are just RUTHLESS.
