This video explains why adding more grease to your bearings can be harmful.
This is a very important topic because it is directly related to the bearing's lifespan.
Basically, the bearing comes from the factory with the ideal amount of grease to achieve its maximum performance. Therefore, by adding more grease to the bearing and replacing its seal, this grease will have nowhere to escape and the bearing will begin to work under pressure. This will cause it to overheat and consequently seize, potentially causing various problems such as burning out your motor.
We suggest that you do not add more grease beyond what comes factory-installed in the bearings, unless, in your specific case, it is truly necessary to change the grease, as is the case with high-temperature greases.
Even so, if you need to change the grease, always choose top-quality greases, always taking the necessary precautions such as keeping the container always covered to prevent dirt from getting inside.
