Staying Mentally Sharp Through the Crisis By Working on Technology Projects
Hi, this is Lex from MacFuture.com. During this shutdown and crisis, I went through an adventure learning technology and working on various technology projects. Come along on my adventure. Among other things, I transferred my websites to a cheap server on Linode. I set up Wordpress sites from typing instructions on Linux Ubuntu. I learned how to use Apache on the server to create virtual sites so I could use one server for several sites with their own domain. I set up a free SSL certificates for the sites using Certbot from ETFF. Then I checked out how to set up static websites using Hugo and then using a Swift program from Github called Publish. I also set up a free video conference service on the server which is like Zoom or Facetime called Jitisi. And then I also created my own Cloud service using an open service called Nextcloud. If you listen to this you may then get motivated to create a technology project on the internet. Your world is your Oyster.
