This is a complete hands-on training video about the proper usage of Respondus Lockdown Browser and Monitor in taking online tests (in Arabic language).
This training was created by the eLearining deputyship in the general education sector of Royal Commission of Jubail to help and support the students of the higher education sector including the Jubail University Collage (JUC), Jubail Industrial college (JIC), Jubail technical institute (JTI) as well as the English Language Institute (ELI) in their online tests and exams.
I tried my best to cover the important aspects of the effective use of this vital tool from the student’s perspective.
Topics that have been covered in hands-on and practical manner are:
1. An overview about Respondus Lockdown Browser and Monitor and its usage goal and how it integrates seamlessly with many LMSs including Blackboard.
2. The complete process from start to finish in the proper way to download and install the Respondus Lockdown Browser with all the technical requirements and advises
3. Two full demos of the experience in taking an online test using the Respondus Lockdown Browser and Monitor with full of explanations
a. One demo for a complete online test that only requires the Respondus Lockdown Browser without Monitor (webcam)
b. The other demo for a complete online test that only require both the Respondus Lockdown Browser and the Monitor (webcam)
4. Recommended best practices in taking online tests using the Respondus Lockdown Browser and Monitor were explained in detail.
5. Troubleshooting common technical issues with different scenarios were explained and showed how to fix them
