0:55 1964 – Testing of the WR2 turbojet engine
1:05 1965 – Auxiliary Power Unit is produced
1:13 1969 – WR19 turbofan twin-spool is produced
1:31 1971 – Dr. Sam Williams appears on the cover of Sunday News
1:41 1973 – Marketing makeover of the WASP into the X-Jet
1:53 1978 – Williams builds a new factory in Utah
2:01 1979 – The Collier Trophy is awarded to Williams International
2:22 1982 – Williams teaches soldiers how to fly the X-Jet
2:42 1987 – Integrated Propulsion Module (IPM) debuts
2:54 1988 – The Wright Brother Memorial Trophy is awarded
3:04 1989 – Williams is recognized by the national Inventors Hall of Fame
3:16 1991 – Williams engines are employed during Operation Desert Storm
3:26 1992 – FAA certifies Williams’ man-rated turbofan
3:38 1996 – Demonstrates a 40kW turbo-alternator
4:02 1998 – Dr. Sam Williams is inducted into the Aviation Hall of Fame
4:12 1999 – Greg Williams assumes the leadership of Williams International
4:21 2003 – Novel afterburner technology is introduced
4:32 2004 – Williams certifies the FJ33-4 turbofan engine
4:47 2005 – Supersonic engine runs to full power
5:07 2010 – FJ44-4 is certified with a composite face case
5:17 2011 – Introduction of an afterburning WJ38-15
5:27 2014 – Williams is voted #1 in Pro Pilot’s product support survey
5:43 2015 – FJ44-4 turbofan engine is modified
6:01 2016 – Williams certifies a new and improved FJ33-5 turbofan engine
6:11 2018 – STELR ushers in a new era of high speed engines
