How to knit a bonnet scarf quickly and easily

In this video, I'm knitting a hood scarf using Nako Sport Wool (wool with acrylic, 100g/120m) combined with sequin yarn. I use 5mm needles. The entire hood requires approximately 2.5 skeins.

The hood is knit from corner to corner, that is, from tip to tip:

Start by casting on 5 stitches and knitting a 1x1 rib pattern, increasing one stitch at each edge on every even row to form a triangle;

Continue until the rib pattern is 10 cm wide;

Then knit straight; the total length of the fabric including the triangle should be 70 cm;

Mark the center stitch with a marker and begin increasing to the left and right of it every other row (before and after the rib pattern). Form a stockinette stitch in the middle;

Knit increases until the stockinette stitch measures 20 cm;

then continue for another 20 cm without increases, but do not finish knitting the ribbing on the purl row every other row;

then begin decreasing every other row until only the ribbing remains on the needles;

then knit straight to the corner and at the corner, decrease again every other row until 5 stitches remain;

bind off the stitches.

The end result is a bonnet that fits comfortably on the head, fits snugly around the neck, and does not form an angle at the crown like classic bonnets.
