Die Offshore Drone Challenge 2024
Am 18. und 19. Juni 2024 hat das DLR-Institut für Flugsystemtechnik gemeinsam mit dem Energiekonzern EnBW die Offshore Drone Challenge am Nationalen Erprobungszentrum für Unbemannte Luftfahrtsysteme am Flughafen Magdeburg-Cochstedt durchgeführt. Drohnenhersteller wurden eingeladen, eine Lasttransportmission zu absolvieren. Eine unabhängige Jury hat mit verschiedensten Bewertungskriterien die Flüge bewertet, um das beste System zum Sieger zu ernennen. Die Challenge wurde im Rahmen des Forschungsprojekts „Upcoming Drones Windfarm“ durchgeführt und ist ein erster Schritt, um Drohnen in der Offshore-Logistik einzusetzen. Gewonnen hat das Team von ADLC mit der Drohne „Orca“ von PhoenixWings, das die Challenge knapp vor dem Team von Solectric mit der Drohne „FlyCart 30“ von DJI für sich entscheiden konnte.

The Offshore Drone Challenge 2024
On June 18 and 19, 2024, the DLR Institute of Flight Systems together with the energy provider EnBW held the Offshore Drone Challenge at the National Experimental Test Center for Unmanned Aircraft Systems in Cochstedt. Drone manufacturers were invited to complete a cargo transport mission. An independent jury evaluated the flights based on various criteria to determine the best system and declare the winner. The challenge was conducted as part of the research project "Upcoming Drones Windfarm" and marks a first step toward using drones in offshore logistics. The winner was team ADLC with the "Orca" drone by PhoenixWings, narrowly beating team Solectric with the "FlyCart 30" drone by DJI.
