Making A Massive Zinc Ingot with Petrobond Sand
Making a massive zinc ingot to add to my massive ingot collection.
In this video I cast a military spec zinc anode into a more traditional ingot shape.
I'm using a large wooden ingot as a pattern and I'm using Petrobond sand to cast the zinc into. This zinc ingot weighed in at 5.3 kg / 11.6 lb. The other ingots at the start of the video are copper, aluminium, brass and lead.
I'm using a devil forge furnace to melt the zinc and graphite ingot moulds to cast the smaller ingots into.
