If someone says 'Ducktales' and you don't respond with 'Whoo-oo!', I feel sorry for you. Ducktales was definitely another 'Disney Afternoon' treasure, fit to be stored in Uncle Scrooge's own money bin. A couple years ago, I re-watched the old Ducktales with my room mates and it brought back so many fond memories and inspired so many dumb and hilarious jokes. Afterwards, I continued to hunger for more Ducktales, so I downloaded nearly nine gigabytes of 'Uncle Scrooge' comics. This was a year or so before the reboot cartoon came out. There are definitely some thing that the new cartoon does better (Webby, obviously), but the old cartoon is an epic classic in my opinion.
But, if you're not familiar with the series, Scrooge McDuck is the richest duck in the world. He has so much money, he keeps it in its own building-sized vault and swims through it. He made all that money by tougher than the toughies and sharper than the sharpies. He's also an avid adventurer. So in the game, you play as Uncle Scrooge and travel to different parts of the world collecting treasure. Scrooge's trusty weapon is his cane. He can jump and use his cane as a pogo stick, or swing it like a golf club and attack enemies or break certain objects. It is a wonderfully executed game, making creative use of the NES' capabilities to produce a fun but relatively mild challenge.
