⭐️ This video is from a custom-built drone which is dropping mangrove seeds on a predetermined flight path, aiding in reforestation.
🌱 We’re helping Madagascar National Parks to restore mangrove forests by drone in Madagascar, where around 2% of the world’s mangroves are found.
🪵 These incredible plants store the most carbon of all tropical forest types, but they are threatened by deforestation for charcoal production and timber.
💚 This project is funded by UK Research and Innovation’s Global Challenges Research Fund through Liverpool John Moores University and is now supported by a Darwin Initiative Innovation grant (UK DEFRA).
