NEW AK-19 5.56 x 45 (NATO)
The AK-19, the new lightweight rifle is chambered in 5.56×45mm NATO compared to its predecessor's 5.45×39mm rounds.
While the rifle is still in development, but the AK-19's upgrades over the AK-12 reportedly include a redesigned polymer stock, a multi-slotted flash suppressor rather than the muzzle break, and new proprietary polymer magazines.
