Courtyard Oasis || 4 Generations Moroccan Riad || The Sims 4 Speed Build || No CC
Hey hey simmers! Welcome back to my channel. This time I’m so excited to share with you my new build using the Courtyard Oasis kit pack. This build really took me a long long time to finish and it gives me a chance to learn about new house architecture that I didn’t know before. I did a lot of searching for the houses and finally decided to choose the Moroccan house as its architecture is really charming and beautiful.
A traditional Moroccan house called Riad, means “Garden in the house”. It always surrounded by an open courtyard with fountain, flowers or swimming pool. Since water is the symbol of fortune of a Riad owner, the fountain is called the embodiment of heaven.
All rooms’ windows must face to the open courtyard and no windows should look directly onto the streets, it’s a typical Islamic architectural design so that the private space is closed to the outer space. It's also a way for the riad to avoid the harsh sun, harsh weather and the Sahara sands.
Another interesting detail is that when you enter a Riad you will have to step to the right or left. You will never be able to look directly into the Riad from the street.
Another typical architectural feature of a riad is the dome shape, often used for doors, gates and windows. According to the Moroccan concept, an dome that looks like iron horseshoe shaped will protect you from the evil eye and bring you good luck.
