SAP has introduced in 2015 and ever since it’s introduction, there is always a curiosity among the SAP community about the differences between the SAP ECC and the SAP S/4HANA.
The basic difference between these two is that SAP S/4HANA can run only on the HANA database and the SAP ECC can run on Oracle, IBM DB2 etc. The HANA in-memory database reads data faster than traditional databases that fetch data from the hard disk. S4H combines the data structures of different components like FI, CO, into a single line item table ACDOCA, called as Universal journal . It eliminates several aggregate and index tables.
