Getting a few questions about faux locs atm and just want to highlight a couple DO’s and DON’Ts
.
❌use too much product on faux locs whilst wearing the style
.
❌ leave them in longer than 2-3 months (varies per person) ... otherwise this video is what happens...
.
Product build up at the roots is no joke peeps. It makes the take out process literally 10x longer. (I did what you see in this video for every loc... took 3 hours).
.
.
.
✅- use a water spray as and when needed throughout the whole process - this isn’t shown on the video, but I’m using it!
.
✅- Respray roots with non itch loc spray & massage in, to ease irritation taking out.
.
✅- comb from ends to roots when detangling (avoids pulling on the hair which causes additional hair loss)
.
✅-use black castor oil & bepanthen cream massaging into roots (great for promoting growth and mositurizing ... bepanthen has worked wonders for me and absorbs quickly into your scalp so minimal grease build up)
.
✅-slowly separate product build up on roots with fine comb, if this doesn’t work, rub black castor oil in the build up until ur fingers warm slightly..helps loosen product build up
.
✅- I always finish up with a leave in @cantubeautyuk Argan oil conditioner. I love it. Either sleep in it then wash out or put a heat cap on for 30mins then wash out.

Faux Locs are my favourite protective style but you gotta have patience!!
