Shadwtunes status update
Hey everyone! I apologize about the long absence. It was mainly due, in part, to 3 things. The first was that a bucket list item opportunity came up. It literally consumed my attention and life for the many of the past months as I planned this dream trip to take. I am back and had an incredible time. The second thing: it is getting damn hard to find good music. Please understand that for every 1 song I highlight for you all to support the artist, I listen through on average 50 mediocre songs in my search. That can consume a lot of my free time when I’m not at work.
And lastly, when I do find something that is very good I often run into a huge obstacle. The latest is being unable to obtain the music, especially when it comes to the electronic genre. Unfortunately, there are so many songs out there that aren’t available for purchase or download. For reasons of region availability, label issues, or simply the artist not making it available, there is no way to it. In cases like these, I’ve had to resort to youtube-to-mp3 or soundpump. But these reliable services have been hit by the industry recently to where they no longer work. So I have hit a wall in being able to highlight songs and artists that are much deserving of your support, in which I hope all of you have been doing. I know there are other services out there, but I am wary especially when I see comments from users of said service giving them viruses. I am not keen on destroying my computer. So right now, I stand at a loss at how to proceed forward and have considered at times giving it all up together. I’m uploading this so you all know what is happening. I apologize for the silence. I am very grateful for the kind comments in sharing their love for this genre of music throughout the years. Hopefully I can figure something out eventually.
