Just a quick video about my tattoo. I don't see many that show midway through the scabbing process. I had no idea what it would really be like. I didn't know it would look like a sunburn.

I am doing the dry type of tattoo after care. I don't put any special lotion on it. I just take a hot shower once a day and then soak in a hot bath for like 15-20 minutes and wash the leg a couple of times with antibacterial hand soap. And after a bath I'll dry off but not the tattoo. I'll blot it dry with a separate clean towel as not to disturb the skin.

Also if I do a lot of sweating during the day or it gets dirty I'll wash just the tattoo area with the hand soap.

This was the method suggested to me by my artist and it works wonders for me. I suggest you do whatever works for you and is suggested by your artist on he/she knows their tattoo best.

This one was done with Eternal Ink incase anyone wanted that kind of info.

The artist was Benny at Chopsticks in Amemura, Osaka, Japan.
