This game was not well received on release but I had a lot of fun with it. The graphics, humour and characters keep everything moving along nicely. The only gripe is that performing varied attacks and dodging is not intuative, and I found that just spamming the A button and blocking got me through most of it. Another thing that I noticed afterwards and was speculating on throughout, was that the green bar IS your XP and is does benefit you strength wise the more enemies you take out. Despite this I found that my playthrough has more of a flow and shorter runtime than if I had taken out EVERY enemy.
I can really recommend this if you enjoy fantasy retro games!
