Tip number 1. First is cutting sprues.

Do not twist sprues using your hands, Twisting parts off sprues by hand can cause stress marks or even break parts, ruining the model’s integrity and aesthetics. Do not use scissors. Using scissors can crush or deform the delicate plastic parts, leading to poor fit and a less polished finish. Best is to use side cutters. a side cutters allows you to make clean, precise cuts on sprues and parts. This minimizes damage and ensures that parts fit together perfectly.

Tip number 2. Smooth edges.

A model knife can trim away any excess plastic and smooth out rough edges, giving your model a more polished and professional look. While useful, sandpaper can sometimes be too abrasive for delicate parts and might not offer the same level of control as a nail file. A nail file, especially the finer-grit ones, allows you to carefully smooth and refine the edges of your model parts.
