Rimworld Biotech - The Wasters || Episode 1
The Wasters, made in Rimworld 1.4 Biotech, is a narrative series that was voted for by my viewers. It's not so much a Let's Play as much as it is a story that I've been wanting to tell. Though everything that happens in game will be touched on, it'll be more from the storytelling focus, and less about viewing every single that happens. I'm just testing the waters here, how successful it will be I won't know. I can say that this has taken several days worth of filming and editing and ultimately I'm pretty satisfied. Hopefully it gets some views and isn't demonetized.
So I made a poll asking what people wanted to see in terms of playthroughs going forward, and the top voted one was a playthrough of Wasters, living out in a post apocalyptic landscape, rife with pollution, toxic fallout and strange, deadly creatures. If you’re new to the channel, then you probably won’t know that typically speaking I don’t do playthroughs or anything like that. I do short videos taking a look at mods, I rarely delve into anything like a let’s play. I just don’t feel like I can be interesting for hours on end - but this is, hopefully, different. This is going to be far more narratively focused rather than me speaking over my gameplay and it’s a type of video I’ve wanted to do for a long time. I can’t promise this will be a long running series, but I can say that I’ve put a lot of thought into how exactly I want to do this and so this is a bit of a test bed for new ideas and concepts.
Anyways, with Rimworld 1.4 having been released I found that it’d be far easier to do exactly what I wanted to do - tell a very basic story, and have the mechanical backing to do it. So here we are, with three unassuming humans, attempting to escape the future that was planned for them.
