The Left Party has new co-chairs: Ines Schwerdtner and Jan van Aken. The two made headlines by announcing their intention to forgo half their salaries. The Left Party leadership argues that exorbitant salaries lead to out-of-touch politics. But is that really the case? And is more than €2,850 already considered out of touch?
