Autumn is one of the 4 seasons. Autumn marks the transition from summer to winter when daylight becomes noticeably shorter. One of its main features in temperate climates is the yellowing of leaves from deciduous trees.
I shot this video using a DJI Mavic Air (4K/24, color profile Normal, in one instance D-Cinelike), a DJI Spark (1080p/30), and a DJI Osmo Mobile with an iPhone XS (4K/24).
Editing (https://m.youtube.com/channel/UC3LKys..., color correction and grading ( • Final Cut Pro X Learn Color Grading Tutori... ) was done in Final Cut Pro X. For tips regarding editing or color correction and grading follow the respective links.
This video was shot over several days on several locations in the Alps mostly during the late afternoon. This makes for a more pleasant and/or interesting light and last but not least less people to deal with.
In general, manual mode is used only if a specific need arises. Since when chasing the light during sunrise/sunset there’s no time to experiment with settings, even more so if you want to shoot from different spots to get the most out of several hours of approach.
Having read Alexis van Hurkman's Color Correction Handbook, I put some more effort into grading. The result is available on Vimeo: https://vimeo.com/298744977
