DIY Heater Block Silicone Socks - Part 1
In this 2 Part series, I will be attempting to make my own DIY Hot-end Heater block socks similar to the silicone socks available from E3D and other vendors.
While I am focusing on making a sock here for a SeeMeCNC HE280 hot end, there are models available online for mold to fit the E3D V6 and many other printers.
In this episode (Part 1) I will be explaining the process, showing where to find the model, and showing how to pack the mold with silicone.
While most online tutorials recommend using 2-part silicone, I used readily available low cost hi-temp RTV silicone from a local auto parts store.
