Update (2025): At the time, I ranked these Botany Techniques (where #1 was the best and #7 was the least). However, each Botany Technique is important to Botanists in their own way; thus, I’m scrapping the ranking system. Otherwise, the techniques and descriptions are still good.

Botany Techniques features professional skillsets specialized for plant, fungi and algae! These techniques range from easy to hard in difficulty.
Here are some of the techniques I left out: HPTLC, Gel Electrophoresis, Bowl Seed Sifting Method (for dried seeds, that utilizes gravity. A certain bowl shape is needed…), Preserving Liquid (aka jarring).

I depend significantly on park-specific information, data or dichotomous keys provided by organizations, typically accessible through PDF files on their websites or in brochures. In addition, I utilize iNaturalist, Picture Mushroom, and PlantNet for identifications.
