Conner CP-4041 on a Modern System (Compaq LTE 286 Repair 4A)
We ran into a problem with the hard drive. In the LTE 286 it would detect, but not keep partitions. I made a custom adapter so I could put this drive in a modern system. The purpose of this test was to determine if the drive was good or not. We also at least know the CP4041 has a standard IDE pinout with narrower (1.27mm) pins.

The hard drive acted very unpredictable in the modern system to the point. It would detect but sometimes the drive would hang the system. We have confirmed this drive is toast, but that is about it.
