Optimism and Coinbase have joined forces to be the first two L2 networks to make up the SUPERCHAIN. Powered by Optimism's OP stack, the Superchain is a horizontally-scaled collection of L2 networks built on top of ethereum. If successful, it could offer unlimited blockchain-based scaling which in turn would enable novel applications that could never have never been built with blockchain previously.
