HOW ISRAEL WAS FORMED AS A NATION IN ARMS
I came back to Antony Loewenstein for Episode 19 of On The Line. Apart from the fact that I really enjoy speaking with him, he has teamed up with the folks over at Drop Site News to make his book, The Palestine Laboratory: How Israel Exports the Technology of Occupation Around the World, into a podcast. The four part series takes a deep dive into Israel and its arms export industry. What I loved most about the podcast is that it made me go off and research things that I didn’t know were connected to the formation of the state of Israel and its war tactics, things like the Irish War of Independence of 1919. The podcast also lays bare how essential early Zionist militia's (terrorists) were to the formation of the state.
