Fixed the diesel-like engine noise in Opel Astra, Zafira, Chevrolet Cruze, Aveo
Hi! I'm posting a video about how I do auto repairs.
Today's video features replacing the oil pressure check valve on an Opel Astra h with a Z16XER engine (A16XER, A18XER, Z18XER, F14D4, F16D4, F18D4).
THIS IS ONE OF SEVERAL REASONS! There was a 2-3 second diesel leak at start-up. I installed a GM 55563957 check valve. After replacing it, the diesel leak disappeared. In my case, replacing the check valve helped. (Not everyone will benefit from replacing the valve.) The phase shifter stopped starving. The mileage was 141,000 km. The oil was filled with Rolf 5w40.
