Francesco D'Adamo - Oil painting time-lapse (Abstract Expressionism, Lyrical Abstraction)
The video shows the making of "Metamorphosis (Portrait of Gregor Samsa)", with a time-lapse covering several painting sessions over a period of two weeks. Only canvas priming and preparatory underpainting are not shown, as for final painting fixing, varnishing and restretching.
The work has a final size of 130x200 cm and it's made using oils, acrylics, charcoal and some light touch of oil pastels. Almost all the colours used are self-made. The sessions took place between March and April 2020.
