River in Heaven: Asian Astronomy
Join the Emil Buehler Planetarium and a special guest from the Ingram Planetarium as they explore the stars through the cultural lens of Asian star stories and discover the groundbreaking Astronomy achievements of ancient China and Korea. Viewers will be encouraged to embrace different ways of knowing as they are introduced to how ancient cultures used observational astronomy to guide their daily lives. We will also explore some of the collaborations and contributions Asians and Asian American’s have brought to modern Astronomy in recent history.
