Futuristic German Drone & Robot Fire Engine? Iveco/ Magirus/ Alpha Robotics – Interschutz 2022
This truck sure is a different kind of fire engine! Magirus and Alpha Robotics cooperated and built this interesting engine on an Iveco chassis. The truck is a combination of a regular fire engine with several drones that are able to permanently monitor the scene as well as a firefighting robot that could enter areas that would normally be risky or even too risky to enter. As you can see at least one drone is attached to a cable that keeps it right over the truck and is always supplied with power.
What are your thoughts on this concept? Could you imagine that every larger fire department has a truck like this in the future?
