In the preschool series, Pacha is a four-year old, Afro-Latina with immeasurable curiosity, who loves playing outside with her brother almost as much as she loves music and dancing. When she goes to sleep, her magic pajamas transport her to a dream world with talking animals and plants that sing and dance. Her dreams provide answers to questions from her waking life while highlighting the interdependence between Pacha’s
life and the natural world. When Pacha notices connections between the things she is learning, she sings her favorite phrase “We are all connected!” Pacha’s experiences always include a “groovin’” song and dance party that spans culturally diverse musical genres. Because of Pacha, young viewers will understand the difference between a healthy and an unhealthy environment. The overarching
goal is to instill an appreciation for nature in our youngest generation so that they become passionate defenders of our natural resources when they are older.
