The Doorway
The Doorway is a tale of alternate dimensions existing side by side, where actions in one dimension will affect reality in the other. Two people are connected between these dimensions, and unknowingly carry on their day-to-day activities following each-other's exact same steps. When presented with what appears to be a door leading to nowhere, will they discover each other's existence...or something more spectacular?
The Doorway was created for the 2013 24-Hour Film Race competition hosted by Living Arts of Tulsa and the IAO Gallery in Oklahoma City. It took home the grand prize award of the competition: the Judges Choice Award. Our team of 4 people had 24-hours to write, shoot, edit and turn-in a 1-5 minute video that had to include a designated prop (a jumprope), a line of dialog ("Why it smell like that?"), and a theme ("Anticipation"). Teams from Oklahoma City and Tulsa raced around town, creating some amazing short films. We were very honored to be chosen as the top film of the competition, and had a blast making it! It was stressful those last few hours, trying to pull it all together, but it was a lot of fun!
