This video was created for Domestic Violence Intervention Services' (DVIS) 2018 Monarch Ball. The theme of the event was Hope, Trust and Pixie Dust, with the event taking place in a "Neverland-themed" setting. I concepted the intro to the video, where a mother and child, who are survivors of domestic violence, are magically transported to Neverland by Tinkerbell and taken to the safety of DVIS. The video then proceeds to interviews that explain the role DVIS plays in helping children and families who are in domestic violence situations.
The production process for the Neverland portions of the video didn't quite turn out as planned. I was forced to film in winter, when no green was to be found outside. So, the exterior scenes you see have color replacement, sky replacement and background replacement in them (trees and shrubs added), to get closer to a green forest setting. Also, the full concept was not realized, due to scheduling conflicts with the actors, so a proper ending to their arrival and departure at DVIS could not be filmed. I had to improvise with green-screen footage that was filmed. Ultimately, though, it turned out ok, and was able to work in the video!
