Mathieu Forget - DIDAM Bayonne
Creative director and performer, Mathieu Forget is a multidisciplinary artist. Passionate about street dance and hip-hop since his teenage years, he first honed his skills in tennis before forging his own path by studying dance, singing, and piano at the University of California. Working in both France and New York, he creates works inspired by street life, dance movement, and athletic gestures. The series “The Levitation Project,” recognized as part of the 2024 Cultural Olympiad, is the result of a photographic experiment in immersion with artists and athletes. Inviting viewers to be carried away by the art of levitation, he blends digital and real worlds, challenging gravity and perception. The result is a collection of colorful, dynamic, and poetic graphic compositions.
Exhibition open from June 28 to September 15, 2024. Closed exceptionally on July 4.
